Tom Vosa - On the Economy

Tom Vosa of Clydesdale Bank addressed the Watford Chamber of Commerce at Moor Park this morning, Oct 7th 2011.

He made some interesting observations on the economy, whilst acknowledging the seriousness of the situation he made a good attempt at putting a positive spin on the worlds economy.

Here are a couple of interesting quotes:

"It is the central irony of the financial crisis - caused by too much confidence, borrowing, lending and spending - that it cannot be resolved without more confidence, more borrowing, more lending and more spending....." (Larry Summers, former US Treasury Secretary, September 2011.)

"The global economy is in a dangerous new phase" (IMF WEO, September 2011)

Congratulations to all the girls that worked do hard to obtain their certificates and awards at the graduation ceremony on Thursday 18th August 2011.

There was a great atmosphere on the night despite the heavy rain. This year because of the rain we had to move all the girls inside for the traditional annual photographs, the end result was that we thought the rain had done us a favor as the large group images came out really well. We might even do the same next year, even if the weather is better!

Image - Hemel Hempstead

SKM Airscape Photography are now producing great aerial shots for our clients. Here is an image from a recent shoot we did for Dandara. The Image tower in Hemel Hempstead is 21 stories high and yet we got some great shots using our RC Helicopters. The Helicopter piolot controls the Helicopter itself whilst the camer operator controls the camera using a separate remote control receiver, this gives full control over pitch and roll and what the camera actually sees. The camera operator sees what the camera sees though the lens via remote video glasses, giving him extremely accurate control over images captured. There are no wasted shots with this system.

Ian Rennie Hospice - 3 Peaks Challenge

A thousand or more people accepted the challenge to 'walk the chalk' in the Ian Rennie 3 Peaks Challenge on Sunday the 20th September. Bill Turnbull who is better known as the BBC's Breakfast Presenter both got the walk started and joined in as well. They started at 9am in Princes Risborough. After climbing Whiteleaf Cross and Coombe Hill they headed off to Ivinghoe Beacon to complete the 9 mile walk. It was a great day and the weather was fantastic. Tere was a brilliant atmostphere among the walkers, and judging by the comments and looks on everyones faces everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Canvas Prints

There is an increasing demand for prints and images to be displayed on canvas. The problem we found was that to supply top quality Gallery Wrapped Canvas prints at an affordable price was difficult to achieve. There are many suppliers on the web, however there are often problems with deliveries along with the indifferent quality of their products. So in January of this year we invested in a 44" Epson Ultrachrome canvas and photo printer. Now we control the quality and the price. We will print images we capture at our studio onto canvas. In addition you can bring any of your own images to us which we can then print onto canvas for you. Just give us a call 01442 245555
